I planned this carving as my entry for the 2016 Pacific Brant Carving and Art Show in Parksville, BC. It won the blue ribbon for Realistic Wildlife (in the round) Water Mammals and It also got sold during the show. Sometimes when you do a carving for a competition, you always envision entering it in a number of the shows that are held each year in the area. And it's nice to sell it, but if it gets sold at the first show, then you don't have an entry for the other shows! And it would be impolite to sell it and then ask if you can borrow it for a couple of months??
